Low-Flow Toilets
The toilet is the biggest culprit in excessive water usage. In fact, the average toilet averages 4 to 7 gallons per flush. With a low-flow toilet or low water use toilet you can save up to 5 gallons per flush!
Extra Tip: If you can't replace your current toilet with a water-efficient toilet just yet, you should at least check it for leaks! Place a drop of food coloring in the tank and if color shows up in the bowl without flushing, the toilet has a leak.
Low-Flow Faucets
In addition to saving water with a low-flow toilet, a low-flow faucet or faucet that features a water-efficient aerator can help promote water conservation by lowering the gpm (gallons per minute) that standard faucets yield.
Low-Flow Shower Heads
A low-flow shower head can save up to 50 gallons of water during a 10 minute shower. So even those who love long showers can help save water!
Extra Tip: Many models even have a shut-off valve on the shower head to save even more water by stopping water when lathering up.
Shallow Bathtubs
Planning a bathroom remodel? Scratch the standard-size tub and consider a shallow bathtub, they can use less water than a 10 minute shower.
Tankless Water Heaters
Right now, for those of you who have a traditional tank water heater, the water in your tank is being heated. In fact, the water in your tank is always being heated... 24 hours a day... 7 days a week. Now imagine, if there was no tank, and that hot water was only "produced" when you needed it. Tankless water heater technology conserves energy by doing just that - no more 24/7 heating, no more 24/7 constant energy usage.
We offer tankless water heater services. We can help you select the right tankless system for the size of your home or business and the amount of usage. For larger homes and businesses we also recommend "boosters" that can be installed for fixtures that need extra hot water (such as showers, faucets, laundry, etc).
